Week 13 Review
Week 13 Review
(TUES 7:00) Akron @ Kent State (total 49.5) OVER, Fan Duel
Akron 38 @ Kent State 17 (total 55), WIN
MACTION! Akron’s running backs ran all over Kent State’s defense. While Kent State’s offense was able to put up enough points through the air to help us get over the total. A good win, Hammy Over win as well.
(SAT 12:00) Ole Miss (-10) @ Florida, Cesars
Ole Miss 17 @ Florida 24, LOSS
Ole Miss and QB Jaxon Dart (pictured right) looked awful. Dart threw 2 interceptions in back-to-back plays after the first was overturned. Also, Ole Miss went 0/3 in the redzone. Ole miss also lost star WR Tre Harris during the game, but Florida had the Swamp rocking. Credit to HC Billy Napier at Florida, he will be back next year and deservedly so after the run they are on led by QB DJ Lagway.

(SAT 12:00) Indiana @ Ohio State (total 51.5) UNDER, Fan Duel
Indiana 15 @ Ohio State 38 (total 53), LOSS
Fuck Ohio State! The game is over and done with, and all you have to do is kneel it out and instead you run a QB sneak into the endzone when you are already covering??? Fuck Ryan Day and Fuck Will Howard! It also didn’t help that Indiana special teams handed Ohio State 14 points off a muffed snap and a punt return for a touchdown. This under should have cashed, good pick, bad coaching.
(SAT 12:00) North Carolina @ Boston College (total 55) UNDER, Bet Rivers
North Carolina 21 @ Boston College 41 (total 62), LOSS
This was another tragic loss for the email. The game was 27-7 BC, going into the 4th quarter. Boston College had a pick-6, and a touchdown run to make it 41-7, Unfortunately UNC wasn’t going down without a fight. A rushing touchdown with 2 minutes left made it 41-14, so we would push. With 9 seconds left UNC scored another rushing touchdown and hit the over. Killing another play with seconds left. I would bet the under again here, just bad luck.
(SAT 12:00) Illinois @ Rutgers (total 48) UNDER, Bet Rivers
Illinois 38 @ Rutgers 31(total 69), LOSS
This game was 15-17 entering the fourth quarter. Then defense became optional. There were 37 points scored in the 4th quarter. Game script forced this game into a late back and forth offensive show, with 3 lead changes in the final minutes of the game. The game was decided on a 40-yard Illinois touchdown pass with 14 seconds to play. Tough loss, but just add it to the tough loss pile I have going this week.
(SAT 2:30) New Mexico State @ Middle Tennessee (total 51) OVER, Draft Kings
New Mexico State 36 @ Middle Tennessee 21 (total 57), WIN
If there was one thing that was going our way this week it was the “Hammy Overs” formerly known as “Mids Over”. This game went according to the system and was a game played between two poor defenses. Both teams were able to throw the ball, which made it easier to move up and down the field and help hit the over. Good Win would bet again.
(SAT 3:00) Charlotte @ Florida Atlantic (total 48.5) OVER, Fan Duel
Charlotte 39 @ FAU 27 (total 66), WIN
Another Hammy Over play. Charlotte threw the ball all over FAU and gave us a no sweat win here. O’Mega Blake (what a name) had over 200 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns for Charlotte. FAU was able to make an impact running the ball which helped push that over. Solid win would pick again.
(SAT 3:30) BYU @ Arizona State (-3), Cesars
BYU 23 @ Arizona State 28, WIN
Wild ending to this game. Arizona State jumped out to an early lead and held onto it all game. A scare at the end with some chaos on the field. Thinking the game was over, students stormed the field, but after review, 1 second was on the clock when the incomplete pass hit the ground on the alleged final play of the game. This gave BYU one more shot. Students had to leave the field, and BYU was allowed 1 last play, an attempt at a Hail Mary. It was not successful but a crazy ending to a solid win for the email.

(SAT 3:30) Tulsa @ South Florida (total 60.5) OVER, Draft Kings
Tulsa 30 @ South Florida 63 (total 93), WIN
Thank you, South Florida, for hitting the over yourself and taking advantage of a rancid defense. South Florida had two QB’s (starter Bryce Archie and back-up Israel Carter) throw for 2 touchdowns, while Tulsa QB Cooper Legas threw 3 interceptions. South Florida had 28 points in the first quarter and then both teams combined for 37 points in the fourth quarter. A lot of points in this game, which means another Hammy Over win.
(SAT 3:30) The Citadel @ Clemson (total 58.5) UNDER, Fan Duel
The Citadel 14 @ Clemson 51 (total 65), LOSS
This is a joke, right? I was getting killed on the unders this weekend. Clemson got up 35-0 at half and was ready to coast it home. However, Citadel HC Maurice Drayton refused to participate in 10-minute running quarters and wanted to “compete” in the second half. Clemson gave up a big pass play in the 4th quarter and then decided to get their linebacker a garbage time touchdown. All HC Drayton did was cost me an under and the only losing leg in our Saturday parlay.
(SAT 4:00) Pittsburgh (+8.5) @ Louisville, Bet MGM
Pittsburgh 9 @ Louisville 37, LOSS
The game went a different way than expected. Pittsburgh’s starting QB ELI Holstein got carted off the field in the first quarter. It was all downhill from there. Pitt’s defense struggled to contain Louisville and offensive turnovers killed any chance Pitt had.
(SAT 5:00) Troy @ Louisiana (total 53.5) OVER, Draft Kings
Troy 30 @ Louisiana 51 (total 81), WIN
Hammy Over cashes again! A 27-point 2nd quarter by Louisiana was a big help. Both QBs in the game were throwing the ball all over the field. Troy’s Caldwell threw for 4 touchdowns and Louisiana’s Fields threw for over 300 yards. Good pick.
(SAT 7:00) Washington State (-12.5) @ Oregon State, Draft Kings
Washington State 38 @ Oregon State 41, LOSS
Oregon State was on a 5-game losing streak and they pulled off an upset over Washington State. Oregon State had QB Gulbranson back after missing the Air Force game and he was a huge factor (294 yards and 2 TDs). This game was even, and Washington State was nowhere close to covering the spread all game. Bad Pick.

(SAT 7:00) Alabama (-13.5) @ Oklahoma, Cesars
Alabama 3 @ Oklahoma 24, LOSS
Alabama, YOU are on fraud watch. Jalen Milroe went back to his former self, which is struggling to throw the ball, to run the ball, and also to trip the ball carrier. Alabama’s defense gave up 100 yards to 2 different running backs. That was the game right there. Oklahoma couldn’t throw the ball at all, but it didn’t matter because they ran it well enough. Bad Pick.
(SAT 10:30) Colorado State (+3.5) @ Fresno State
Colorado State 22 @ Fresno State 28, LOSS
A 21-point 2nd quarter by Fresno State helped them get out in front of Colorado and keep a two-score lead majority of the game. Colorado State didn’t even have enough time to get the back door cover, scoring with under a minute to play to pull within 5. Bad pick, Fresno State looked very good.
